Biography:

 J. Judson Hays (1820-1907) was born in Green County, Tennessee. Margaret Ann Nevill (1837-1923) was born in Hardin County , Tennessee, the daughter of Alexander Nevill, who came to Titus County around 1838. Hays was a Confederate soldier, Mason. J. Judson Hays and his wife Margaret Ann had seven children and were members of the Nevill's Chapel Baptist Church.
